Guide for contractors

Pay per lead for foundation repair.

With pay per lead you do not pay a monthly fee for marketing and hope the phone rings. You pay for the homeowners who are sent to you. Here is what that means in practice and what to watch for.

The short answer

Pay per lead means you pay for each homeowner sent to you, not a monthly fee. At LaCo Media there is no retainer and no contract, and a bad lead is replaced within the next month. Price depends on your area and is set on a free 15 minute call.

The usual way and the pay per lead way

The usual way is a monthly fee. You pay whether the phone rings or not, and the agency is paid either way. With pay per lead, the company only gets paid when it sends you a homeowner. That puts the risk of a quiet month on the company and not on you.

What counts as a bad lead

A bad lead is a wrong or disconnected phone number, a homeowner who never asked to be contacted, a duplicate of one you already received, or a homeowner outside the area you asked for. We replace those within the next month.

A homeowner who simply does not pick up is not a bad lead. Homeowners often reach out to more than one company, and some are busy. Calling fast helps, see speed to lead.

What else to ask about

  • Is there a setup fee? Ours is one time and we explain it on the call.
  • Is there a contract or a minimum? We have no contract and no retainer.
  • Who pays for the texts and calls the system sends? Those run on your own card, with or without us.
  • What happens if a card fails? We pause sending until it is fixed.

How to judge whether it works for you

Take what you earn on an average foundation job, the share of calls that become booked inspections, and the share of inspections that become jobs. Those are your numbers, not ours. Put them in the job math tool on the home page and see what one booked job costs you.

Nothing here is a promise of results. How many homeowners become jobs depends on your price, your speed and your service.

Where to see our pricing

The pricing page lays out what we charge and what we do not. For why we send each homeowner to one contractor, read shared leads versus leads sent to one contractor.

What you still own in this model

Pay per lead does not take your business away from you. You still choose the jobs, set the price, make the inspection and run the crew. The company that sends the homeowners handles finding them and the first contact. The homeowner is your customer from the first call you make.

It also means you keep control of your reputation. How you treat the homeowner decides the review they leave.

Questions to settle before you start

  • What area are the homeowners coming from, and can you change it?
  • How will you be told when a homeowner is sent, and how quickly?
  • How do you report a bad lead, and who decides?
  • Can you pause or stop at any time?

We answer all four on the free call, so you have them before you decide.

A fair way to test it

Start with a small order and treat it like any new supplier. Call every homeowner fast, write down what happens to each one, and report any bad lead right away with the reason. After a few weeks you will know what a booked job costs you through this source, and you can compare it with what you pay for ads or for the time you spend on ranking. Compare sources on the cost of a booked job and not on the cost of a lead, because a cheap lead that never answers costs more than it looks.

If the numbers work, order more. If they do not, say so and stop. There is no contract to unwind. For the wider picture of every option, read foundation repair marketing, compared.
